The Day I Stayed by Angelita C. Brown

Mom wasn't herself today
So I stayed a while
Engaging conversations became more difficult
Her eyes wandered, strangely around the room

Tear drops fell from my eyes
As I sang the lullaby, she sang to me
She made faces, seemingly more perplexed
Her eyes settled on the caregiver as she smiled

So I captured the moment
Paula she whispered
I proceeded to capture her elegant smile
Recognition of repetition

I am a photographer
Dad too was a photographer                         By: Angelita C Brown
Mother was an artist
Tears came streaming gently down my face

For that moment I was Paula
As  I laid next to her I whispered
Mother it's me Paula
She wrapped her arms around me as we slept.

Striped Shortbread

Mek me tell you about Striped Shortbread . This oven baked Fudge Striped Shortbread Cookies are so delicious. So certainly I want to share it with my neighbors. These cookies fly off the shelf faster than anything else.

Striped Shortbread has become my all time favorite cookie. This Striped Shortbread can be purchased at Dollar Tree. Whenever I stop in, I purchase three packs. I encourage my neighbors to also eat cookies in moderation.

This is a 13 ounce cookie for $1.00 imagine that, the package has four trays with eight in a row. For me, I take in a sandwich bag for lunch. Sometimes an extra for good measure. At home, I do the same.

My girls take three for lunch along with fruits. They stay fresh in a cookie jar. The secret to these cookies are take out the amount you will eat for snack. They are very addictive. Did I say that, I mean it. My children sometimes hide the cookies, even though the family eat very healthy they thought I was having it too often. I practice to have a sweet after each meal.

Kale Massage...WHAT!

Yes kale massage, The idea sounded  weird, until I tried it myself.  I cannot say less I love it.  The massaging of the kale is the brain child of Daphne Oz from the Chew. Massaging really breaks the hardness of the leaves.

Prepare kale by stripping from stem, then washing in a large basin several times. Use a Bounty paper towel to dry it or use a salad spinner. Place kale on chopping board and chop. Next, place chopped kale into large glass bowl. Use an olive oil dispensing bottle to sprinkle over kale, rub kosher salt in palm over bowl, and squeeze lemon juice. Finally, use both hands and gently massage kale.

DIET, Diet, diet! NO Eat in moderation!

Realizing that eating in moderation is the best way to maintain a manageable waist line. Dress and style your food in the same form as outfitting yourself. Avoid overcrowding your plate and space, again even at a buffet dress your plate. Remember too much of any thing is not good.

Ladies love handbags and shoes, men follow with probably more than just their average ties, hats, shoes, and most may not want to admit but of course messenger bags.

Back to the basic of dieting versus a balance diet for example you have a meal that you liked was rich with goodness. We have all had a meal like that. So now all day you are thinking about this meal for the next day, The point is, this meal is so, so good but not for everyday. Remake it at home or have a sidebar chat at your favorite market.

DO NOT BECOME OVERWHELM by the word D I E T again eat in moderation Allow yourself more than one sweet because you will consume more liquid, but never return with the same carbohydrates for seconds try something different, For everyone knows that baked macaroni and cheese at any good party is the best, so just one heap one time around.

Breath Control Exercise

This is the Farmer who sold the corn
That fed the cock
That crowed in the morn
That waked the Priest all shaven and shawn
That married the man all tattered and torn
That kissed the maiden all forloin
That milked the cow with crumpled horn
That tossed the dog
That worried the cat
That killed the rat
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built
